The Associated Programme on Flood Management (APFM) was jointly founded in 2001 by the World Meteorological Organization and the Global Water Partnership.

The GWP CEE governance structure comprises Partners, Country Water Partnerships, a Regional Council and the Secretariat, based in Bratislava.

The Global Water Partnership's vision is for a water secure world. Our mission is to support the sustainable development and management of water resources at all levels.

Institutional Partners are the basis on which the GWP network is constructed and operates. Becoming a Partner is a highly valued position and brings with it several key benefits to get the most out of the GWP network.

The NCWR Programme is designed and implemented by GWP-Med. It started in Greece in 2008 and since then expanded in the Maltese Islands, Cyprus, and Italy.
