The SADC Multi-Stakeholder Water Dialogue is an event organised by the SADC Directorate of Infrastructure and Services, Water Division to provide a forum for practitioners in the region to have a dialogue with water using and water influencing sectors. The underlying objective is to ensure that the interventions in the water sector are well communicated to the non-water sector actors and also create an environment to receive inputs from them. Three main objectives guided the workshop's work: (1) to revitalize the Network, (2) to rework MAYI magazine issue 2, and (3) to revise the regional communication strategy of GWP CAf.

GWP Partner Warsaw University of Life Sciences, together with other partners restores and maintains the wetland in Kampinoski National Park in a LIFE-financed project Kampinos Wetlands.
On 11 September 2019, GWP, together with the World Bank and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), launched a new working paper: “Framework for the Assessment of Benefits of Action/Cost of Inaction (BACI) for Drought Preparedness.” The launch took place on the Drought Preparedness Day at the 14th UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD COP14), held in New Delhi, India.
