The Ministry of Energy and Water organized, on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, a workshop on the impact of climate change and anthropogenic pressure on the quantity and quality of water resources. The opening ceremony was chaired by Mr. Navon Cissé, representing the Minister of Water and Energy.
The NWSAS Consultation Mechanism held its 12th Steering Committee (SC) in Tunis, October 3rd, 2018.
The three riparian countries, Algeria, Libya and Tunisia, discussed the options presented by GWP-Med tin relation to the enhancement of the institutional and legal setting of the NWSAS consultation mechanism.

The 3rd Consultation Workshop on enhancing the potential for Private Sector Participation in Water Infrastructure in Lebanon, with emphasis on the role of Banks was organised in Beirut on the 8th November 2017, as part of the National Policy Dialogue on Water Governance and Financing. The Workshop involved more than 25 targeted representatives of relevant public institutions, private banks, regional organisations and NGOs.
GWP has been working closely with the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) for over 20 years – the first connection goes back all the way to 1996, when GWP was established. Today, GWP Southern Africa is a recognized implementing agency of SADC, and also a strategic partner. GWP has supported SADC through the different phases of its regional IWRM plan, and currently one of the key activities is implementing a regional Water-Energy-Food (WEF) Nexus Approach.

GWP China Yangtze River was founded in December, 2018, to convene all members to promote the Water Law of the PRC in accordance with the Constitution of the PRC.
