The International Roundtable on Protection and Sustainable Use of Transboundary Waters in Southeastern Europe was held on the 15th and 16th of December 2011 in Zagreb, Croatia.

The 6th WWF was taken place on March 12 to March 17, in Marseille, France. The delegation of GWP China which was formed with four members and led by Dong Zheren, the Standing vice Chair of GWP China participated in the forum.
Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) member, Ms. Judy Daniel is one of only thirty persons from across the globe that has been awarded a scholarship through the 2012 GWP-University of Dundee International Water Law (IWL) Scholarship Programme. The scholarship will enable her to undertake a module in International Water Law at the University of Dundee in Scotland from June 11th -29th, 2012.

On Monday, March 5, the Global Water Partnership Organisation (GWPO) and the Swedish Government signed a new host agreement.
To organize the technical consultation workshop with relevant line agencies, private sector and communities on integrated Sekong river basin management and holistic planning applying IWRM based planning and to conduct a field work in order to study the current water resource development trend and management in the Sekong river basin including its future challenges, Lao WP held Field work and Stakeholders Consultation Workshop on Integrated Sekong River Basin Management, during 30-31 January 2012, Attapeu Province.
The idea of a Regional Climate Outlook Forum (RCOF) originated out of a workshop entitled “Reducing Climate-related Vulnerability” held in Southern Africa in October 1996. Almost a year later, towards the end of 1997, the first RCOF was held in Zimbabwe in Southern Africa where the idea was birthed.
To raise awareness on sustainable water management in the Caribbean, and to commemorate the United Nations’ World Water Day (WWD) 2012 which is celebrated on March 22nd each year, GWP-C has established its first Media Awards on Water. The Awards aim to inspire Caribbean journalists to report more on regional water issues.
