1. Mekrou Project is studying the impact on the W Park
A study is being carried by the Country Water Partnership of Benin to collect ecnomic data on the visitors of the W Park that covers part of the Mekrou Basin. The assessment is initiated by the Joint Research Center (JCR) with the support of GWP West Africa.
As we focus our attention on World Water Day 2015, we at the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) wish to draw attention to the underlying goal of securing water for all.
Three IDMP CEE initiatives were developed into case studies for ISEPEI.
In Burkina Faso the first version of the 'Preparatory report on national consultations on water and food security" is completed. The national sharing and validation workshop is planned for late August 2015. The Country Water Partnership is discussing with the appropriate Ministry for the joint organization of the workshop.
In Mali the National Consultation Workshop on Water and Food Security in Mali, led by CWP MALI has already been organized. A follow up meeting for the ownership of the content of the report is scheduled with the Ministry for Food Security and a number of technical services in Mali to make sure the country has a contribution to the next CSA meeting in Rome.
The National Adaptation Plan Global Support Programme (NAP-GSP)/GWP Joint Mission aiming at supporting the National Adaptation Planning process in Madagascar and suggesting next steps and actions was held from 9th to 19th March 2015 in Antananarivo, Madagascar.

The Global Water Partnership Southern Africa has been a collaborating partner in the National Adaptation Plan – Global Support Programme (NAP-GSP) process through association with the Water, Climate and Development Programme (WACDEP). The Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) hosted a National Stakeholder Consultation in Trinidad, on April 16th, 2014 which formed part of a global consultation exercise to get country level feedback from twenty-six (26) countries on proposals for a dedicated Water Goal in the United Nations (UN) Post-2015 Development Agenda.
