GWPSEA Program Coordinator – Mr. Djoko Sasongko, was invited by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Regional Office, to participate in a Regional Consultation Workshop, which was held in Winsor Suites Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand. National IWRM visions, resulting from a ten-year pilot project in the Fergana Valley based on GWP's concept of IWRM, have been approved, adopted and released by the national water authorities.
Global Water Partnership and the OECD have launched a joint project to establish a Global Dialogue on Water Security and Sustainable Growth. The major output of the cooperation will be a milestone report to be presented at the World Water Forum in 2015 in South Korea.
At the end of last year, the GWP network consisted of 13 Regional Water Partnerships, 84 Country Water Partnerships, and 2,904 Partners located in 172 countries. The Annual Report for 2013 is now completed and available online.
