A special day session was organized on May 5, 2015 just before the Partners meeting held on 7 and 8 May 2015 in Cotonou, Benin. The session aimed at all the representatives of Country Water Partnerships (CWP) invited for the Assembly of Partners but focused mainly on countries where the three projects are being carried out: Benin, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Mali and Niger.

 

The fifth National Training Workshop related to the implementation of the WACDEP Capacity Development Programme on the “Economics of Adaptation Water Security and Climate Resilience Development” was held in Maputo-Mozambique on the 09 - 10 April 2015, at the National Director of Water Affairs (DNA) premises. The opening was done by the Deputy National Director for Water, Mr. Hélio Banze.

"Water and Environment" media award on the theme "Water Security and Climate Resilience of West Africa" ​​was launched on 29 April 2014.

Global Water Partnership West Africa (GWP/WA) and the West and Central Africa Programme of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN/PACO) have priced on June 14, 2014 the winners of the first "Water and Environment" media competition.

Water Integrity Capacity Building for the Middle East and North Africa region is a four year (2014-2017) regional programme implemented by Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) in collaboration with GWP-Med and other regional and local partners.

Our campaign is expected to gather people under the roof to increase the knowledge of the participants through conversation in the manner of strategic-thinking, cutting-edge, exploration and innovation.

GWP Lithuania and GWP Poland successfully collaborated on a set of maps, a database and a video, to improve the management and protection of two transboundary rivers. The project brought together international experts from Lithuania, Poland, Belarus and Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia.

The Caribbean Water and Climate Knowledge Platform is a resource that was created to provide a range of Caribbean knowledge products, tools and information geared toward building climate resilience in the Caribbean water sector. 

In accordance with Protocol of Intentions signed on 20^th December 2013 between the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources of Uzbekistan and Korean Institute of Construction Technology (KICT) about development of information system for water sector of Uzbekistan, Regional Secretariat of GWP CACENA arranged a working visit of KICT delegation to Uzbekistan during 11-18 May 2014. The delegation included Dr. Kim Hyun Jun, Director of Department in KICT, Dr. Hong Ilpyo, Project Manager and Mr. Lee Joonseok, IT Expert.
