Welcome to GWP’s 2016 Network Meeting

The annual GWP Network Meeting will be held on 11 October at 13.00 Central European Time (CET). GWPEA and Kenya enter into Collaboration

The Government of Kenya and Global Water Partnership East Africa have entered into a collaboration that will contribute to the efforts of the country towards meeting international commitments in the Paris Agreement, Kenya’s Ministry of Water and Irrigation Principal Secretary Prof. Fred Segor has said.

Morocco: Demand management in urban water supply (#103)

Drinking water supply of the Rabat-Casablanca coastal area has depended on water transfers from groundwater. Estimates showed that transfers would have to be extended to include surface water, if water requirements were to be met, requiring water transfer together with investments in production, distribution and sanitation. A policy initiative was undertaken to address the issue. The key lesson is that integration of water demand management in water policies is effective for strengthening water security.

Scaling up Partnerships and Leveraging Resources for Africa’s Transformation

The African Development Bank (AfDB) is hosting a Partnerships Conference on 6-7 April, in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. It will create a platform for the Bank to present its experience so far in scaling up investments and leveraging donor resources in the Bank’s High 5 priority areas identified as having the most development impact for its Ten Year Strategy 2013–2022.

GWP-Med holds national training for Tunisian Youth NGO members

GWP-Med, along with Bewater Project partner, INRGREF, organised a national training in Zaghouan, Tunisia, for 30 Tunisian Youth NGO members active in water resources management issues, on November, 13th-14th, in order to raise their capacity to address the challenge of sustainable water resources management under climate change constraints.
