The health of the world’s rivers and oceans is interconnected and critically threatened. There is an urgent need for more meaningful action across the source-to-sea continuum.
Four Southern African Development Community (SADC) Member States have commended the SADC Secretariat for taking the lead in the fight against communicable diseases, including COVID-19 and cholera, through the installation of handwashing facilities at border crossings.
Taskforces established under the Global Water Leadership Programme, being implemented in Malawi by Global Water Partnership & UNICEF, have been trained in developing finance plans.
