One of the key IDMP actions in West Africa is the establishment of the national platforms in Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger and at regional level. These platforms will be used to discuss issues related to the integrated drought management. In Niger a meeting held on November 5 to set up the national platform on Integrated Drought Management (GIS) in the country. The finalization of the project document for the institutional framework of PGIS Niger was also discussed.
On 28 May 2016 in Budapest, Hungary was held national final of the 2016 Stockholm Junior Water Prize (SJWP) in Hungary.
Among the knowledge products the Water, Climate and Development programme of GWP Central America worked on in 2014, are the analysis for the promotion of water security through no/low regrets investments in climate change plans and strategies at the country level.
Global Water Partnership Central Africa (GWP-CAf) and Lake Chad Basin Commission (LCBC)are re recruiting two experts (an Expert in Project Development and an Expert in Hydrology / Meteorology) to work on the “ Development of a full project proposal on the establishment of an Early Warning System within the Lake Chad Basin Area “
