The Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) works to support Caribbean countries in the sustainable development and management of their water resources. Since being established in 2004, the regional organisation has been hosted by its long-standing Partner, the National Institute of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (NIHERST), in Trinidad.

On November 1 and 2, 2016, the 7th Hydropower for Today Forum held in Hangzhou, China. It was hosted by the Ministry of Water Resources of China (MWR) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and organized by the International Centre on Small Hydro Power (ICSHP).

The 11^th Global Water Partnership Southern Africa (GWP SA) Consulting Partners meeting will be held from the 13^th to the 14^th of October 2015 in Pretoria, South Africa. The meeting that is held after every two years brings together the GWP Partners in Southern Africa, GWP SA Board, Regional Technical Committee (RTEC) and the GWP SA Secretariat staff. Also invited are the Strategic Partners with whom GWP SA has programmatic alliances, but these are self-funded.

GWP Eastern Africa held the 3rd Regional Consulting Partners (RCP) meeting on 20-21 March 2014 at Munyonyo Speke Resort Hotel in Uganda. This is a statutory and decision making meeting that takes place once every two years.

On March 20, 2015, before the world water day, the GWP China Fujian organized the “Training Workshop on Development of Water-Eco Civilization Progress” in Fuzhou City, Fujian Province with the support of GWP China and the Water Resources Department of Fujian Province.
