From 1-2 September 2014, GWPEA organized in Rubavu, Rwanda a training workshop for 18 journalists from various media outlets.
GWP Central America, with the support of the Legislative Assembly of El Salvador, organised the VIII Legislators Conference on Water Resources, which took place on October 28, 2014, in San Salvador.
The Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) and the Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) are seeking a Consultant to review and revise the Antigua and Barbuda Draft National Water Policy (Drafted in July 2011), with consideration of institutional changes to date, on-going processes and highlighting the evolving nature of the water sector due to climate change.
On March 3, 2015, the Workshop on Stories to Watch 2015 was held in Tsinghua University in Beijing which was jointly organized by the World Resources Institute (WRI) China and the Institute for Contemporary China Studies at Tsinghua University. Mr. Rugang Zheng, the Coordinator of GWP China was invited to attend the workshop.
Sixth meeting of Task Force on Water and Climate (Convention of the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes) was held in Geneva, Switzerland, on 27 June 2013.
The GWP CACENA Nomination Commission approved Mr. Djayloobayev A. for the position of Manager of the GWP Water and Climate Programme: Transfer GWP's Knowledge for Climate-Resilient Development in Caucasus and Central Asia for 2013- 2015
Following the information day on the Francophone youth for water project in Korea on April 13, 2015 and the orientation day in Cotonou on May 8, actions are continuing with the World Youth Parliament for Water (WYPW). Each of the youth developed roadmap activities to be undertaken for the implementation of this "Francophone Youth for Water" initiative at country level.
The Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) under its Water, Climate and Development Programme (WACDEP), executed in partnership with the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC) will be working with the Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN) in 2015 to help climate proof water investment in the Caribbean.
