A pre-feasibility study on a reservoir in the Vjosa River Basin is under way within the framework of Phase II of the WEFE Nexus Assessment in Albania under the GEF UNEP/MAP MedProgramme aiming to ultimately support the integration of the Water Energy Food Ecosystems Nexus approach into planning processes and management practices at the national level.
The Strategic Framework is grounded in a core objective: to provide sustainable WASH service delivery both now and into the future. The emphasis is on climate resilient development, including strengthening the resilience of WASH systems, and on investments to manage current and long-term climate variability.
On the sidelines of the AI Action Summit in Paris, France, on 12 February, OECD and IEEE are convening a session to explore the energy and water footprint of AI, drawing on GWP’s expertise in AI and water usage.
