GWP SAS WAY Programme is planned from 25 September to 30 November 2022 with the theme “Riverscapes and Riverine Ecosystems”. We are calling applications from eligible youth (18-35 years old) from the region to participate to the training.
The 2022 GWP annual Network Meeting of Partners will take place on 25 May, building on last year’s theme of “Leading Change and Innovation through our Partners”.
At the invitation of ECCAS, a meeting was held between the ECCAS Department of Environment, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Rural Development (DERNADR) and GWP-Central Africa at the ECCAS headquarters in Libreville, Gabon in December 2022.

May 22-23, 2022, GWP China joined Tsinghua to complete a mock leaders' dialogue on Langcang-Mekong Cooperation(LMC). GWP China Fujian recommended Prof. David J. Devlaeminck (PhD) to coach undergraduates of Tsinghua University in their role play practice of powers' communication in the trans-boundary process.
Contributing to a major United Nations environmental meeting convened in Stockholm, Sweden, GWP and partners are convening a side event to champion ‘Water Alignment that enables water aligned finance, strategy, and action.’
Since its beginning in 1974, World Environment Day has developed into a global platform for raising awareness and taking action on urgent issues from marine pollution and global warming to sustainable consumption and wildlife crime. The day is celebrated annually on 5 June, and the 2021 edition calls for urgent action to revive our damaged ecosystems.
Investments in water security must be at the center of solutions for both climate change and post Covid-19 economic recovery. Specifically, investments in water information, institutions, and infrastructure encompassing all levels are essential.
