GWP Malaysia and the Global Environment Centre co-organised a Regional Training of Trainers course on Ecosystem Services and IWRM on 18-21 June 2012. It was targeted to enable greater awareness and understanding on ecosystem management based on a holistic and sustainable manner aimed at empowering relevant stakeholders in Malaysia with knowledge and skills needed to adopt the ecosystem services concept.
GWP Moldova made recommendations to five local authorities across Moldova for improvements in water management practices and for reducing environmental damage, together with assessments of the effect of these improvements on community development, the environment, and cost estimates.

We cannot make it someone else’s business.” These were some of the comments made by Ms Kusum Athukorala, Chair of the Sri Lanka Water Partnership at a felicitation ceremony conducted to honour her achievement on receiving the bi-annual Women in Water Award presented by the International Water Association.

Following up the commitment of all the Euro-Mediterranean Partners to "endorse a feasible timetable to de-pollute the Mediterranean Sea by 2020", the European Commission launched the 'Horizon 2020' initiative (Cairo, November 2006) that aims to tackle the top pollution sources of the Mediterranean by the year 2020.
A Young Water Professionals Symposium (YWPS) under the theme of “Towards a water secure future” was organised by the Sri Lanka Water Partnership (SLWP) with the sponsorship of the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) and Unilever Sri Lanka.

Global Water Partnership – Southern Africa (GWP-SA) will be hosting the 4th Water, Climate and Development Programme for Africa (WACDEP) Technical Coordination Workshop. The workshop will be held in Pretoria, South Africa from January 28-01 February 2013.
