GWP-Med is active on a range of work agendas, reflecting priorities of the GWP Strategy, and responding to needs of Mediterranean countries

GWP-Southeast Asia mission is to encourage, support, facilitate member countries network in achieving water security through the implementation of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) approach.

GWP-Med technically services, and/or operationally co-leads, a number of regional, sub-regional and transboundary processes and initiatives

 

Ouagadougou, 19 January 2009 – The Global Water Partnership in West Africa (GWP/WA) is organizing its 3rd General Assembly of its Partners on 27 and 28 January 2009 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

In June, GWP Central Africa gathered senior officials from water, finance and economic ministries in nine out of ten countries in the region to discuss sustainable funding in the water sector for the first time ever.

GWP Slovakia has been introducing the IWRM approach to the Association of Municipalities, using the guide Sustainable Sanitation in Central and Eastern Europe prepared by GWP Central and Eastern Europe as a key resource.

GWP Bulgaria hosted a technical visit of 9 experts, including Kosovo Water Director, from Prishtina based Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning Water Department on September 29 - October 2.
