On March 3rd, 2010, the host of Singapore International Water Week awarded Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize 2010 to the Yellow River Conservancy Commission (YRCC).
The Fourth Yangtze River Forum, jointly initiated by GWP China and some other organizations, was organized by the People’s Government of Jiangsu Province, Yangtze River Conservancy Commission of Ministry of Water Resources on April 18 to 19, 2011 in Nanjing, China.
GWP China Hebei organized the Forum on Water Security & Economic Development in Coastal Areas on 19-21 May, in Tangshan City, Hebei Province.
The integrated methodological framework (IMF) for integrated water resources management and integrated coastal zone management (ICZM) in the Mediterranean was finalised in 2010, the outcome of specialist technical work and extensive consultation.

At a GWP Myanmar-organized dialogue on 19-20 August 2010 participants concluded that government institutions responsible for water must provide national legislation and policies to foster an integrated approach to managing the country’s water resources. The dialogue, “Formulation of Coordination Mechanism to Engage Institutional Reforms to Foster IWRM among Government Institutions,” was a follow-up to last year’s dialogue. Capacity building training workshops on IWRM were also organized by GWP Myanmar in September.
The Challenge Programme for Water and Food (CPWF) research in the Volta basin has been developed to respond to challenges in the river basin of “improving rainwater and small reservoir management to contribute to poverty reduction, and improved livelihoods resilience in Burkina Faso and Northern Ghana while taking account of implications for downstream water users including ecosystem services”.
This package includes six DVDs containing videos and learning material on several water related themes. It was produced by the Water Channel and supported by GWP and other agencies.
