Global Water Partnership facilitates South-South GCF Direct Access Learning Exchange

The planet is facing multiple challenges, such as poverty, inequality, climate change, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Caribbean Small Island Developing States (SIDS) are vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. Haiti, as part of this region, is the most vulnerable country to climate change, according to the World Risk Index. Over the last 34 years, the country has suffered from the effects of droughts, floods, hurricanes, and more. These affect vulnerable communities, including women and girls, children, and youth.

Result from the 2023 SDG 6.5.1 Stakeholder Consultation Process in Cambodia

The SDG 6.5.1 Support Program is GWP’s flagship program aimed at assisting the national SDG 6.5.1. Focal Points in the organisation and facilitation of multi-stakeholder consultation on SDG Indicator 6.5.1, also known as Stage 1 support. The second stage is designed to facilitate the development of an Action Plan or similar in response to the identified challenges in Stage 1. Lastly, Stage 3 has an objective to support the implementation of the selected actions.
