May 27 to June 1, 2024, Global Water Partnership China Yellow River Basin organized an expert team to visit Heihe River(Black River) for a comprehensive evaluation on water efficiency development in the Heihe River Basin.
On 15th June 2022, the Green Climate Fund Readiness Programme started its implementation in Somalia, targeting the National Designated Authority, which is the Somalia's Ministry for Environment & Climate Change for capacity building and institutional strengthening, to ensure that this office has the necessary capacity to pr ovidestrategic oversight of GCF activities in Somalia
After three years of intensive work, the GEMWET project has successfully concluded, proving that environmental conservation and sustainable development is a win-win recipe that benefits communities, promotes economic prosperity and ensures the protection of natural resources.
Born in 1934, Dr. Madhav A. Chitale has played a major role in getting India’s decision-makers and strategic planners to think of water as a resource whose quality and availability need to be safeguarded. As a part of the nationwide programmes to develop cover several rivers, Dr Chitale was one of those who originated of the Ganga Action Plan to improve the waters of the holy river. He was also involved in the development of the World Water Council and the Global Water Partnership.
An aspiring 27-year old advocate for transboundary cooperation and marine conservation, Luca Jendrek, participated at the European Maritime Day in Ravenna, Italy.
