A training program on “Training of Trainers (ToT) on IWRM Practices for District Level Water Managers” was organised by the Centre for Environmental and Geographic Information Services (CEGIS), with financial assistance from Bangladesh Water Partnership (BWP) and South-west Area Integrated Water Resources Planning and Management Project (SWAIWRPMP). The training program was held from 9th to 14th June 2012

The International Roundtable on Protection and Sustainable Use of Transboundary Waters in Southeastern Europe was held on the 15th and 16th of December 2011 in Zagreb, Croatia.

The GWP network adopts multi-year strategies approved by the Partners. To implement the current strategy, 3-year work programmes and annual workplans have been developed that are approved by the global Steering Committee. Each year GWP reviews progress toward the implementation of the strategy. Please find below links to GWP's strategies. Participants at the Fourth Yangtze River Forum April 18-19, 2011 in Nanjing discussed the development, management and protection of the Yangtze River. The theme of the Forum, “Yangtze River and regional development”, was jointly initiated by GWP China and organizations.

GWP participated in the third Nile Basin Discourse Forum for the Equatorial Lakes region, 15-16 September 2011, Kampala, Uganda.

GWP is participating in the UNFCCC COP21 conference taking place in Paris, France from 30 November until 11 December. Funding for water resources management and future financing mechanisms are two of the topics that GWP will speak up for at the gathering. Read more:
