The Eritrean Country Water Partnership has played an important role in the planning process of the Eritrean IWRM plan, which started at the end of 2005.
The assessment of transboundary water cooperation in Central and Western Europe was the topic of a subregional workshop in Budapest on February 8-10, 2011, organized by the Ministry of Rural Development of Hungary, and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) in cooperation with the International Water Assessment Centre (IWAC).

Chaired by Mr. Wang Shucheng, Chair of GWP China, the conference convened twenty four council members, the staff of GWP China Region Secretariat and the representatives of GWP China Provincial/River Basin Water Partnerships to review the annual report of 2013 and work plan of 2014.

CANCUN. Over the weekend, six countries from around the world at COP16, the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Cancun, called for water to be put on the climate agenda. The countries highlighted the fact that climate change stands to have a significant impact on water resources, and stressed the need for further discussions on how this issue can be addressed within the climate framework.

Caribbean Ministers with responsibility for water resources management, along with regional water managers and other experts were brought together to discuss “Water Management Financing in the Caribbean” at Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) and the Caribbean Water and Wastewater Association’s (CWWA) 7th Annual High Level Session (HLS) on October 6th and 7th, 2011 in Guadeloupe.
