Droughts are a major challenge facing several parts of the world. GWP is working with many partners to provide knowledge that countries can act on in response to these crises.

The Climate Resilience Investment Demonstration Project for Water Security and Climate Resilience under the AIP WACDEP-G Programme was launched on 27 April 2022 at the Hotel Quidata in Tanguiéta, Benin.
The programme Matchmaker 2 aims to provide Jordan and Palestine with tangible and scalable solutions in order to improve water management and build resilience to climate change through the application of the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems Nexus approach.

The address followed the formal announcement of the International High-Level Panel on Water Investment for Africa by HE Macky Sall, President of Senegel, at the same event.
The Asia-Pacific Water Summit, also known as the 4th APWS, was already held on April 23-24, 2022, in Kumamoto City, Japan. The event brought together high-level delegates from the Asia-Pacific region, including heads of state and representatives from international organizations, to discuss a variety of water-related issues. GWP actively participated in the conference, providing insights on water and its relation to youth, gender, climate, governance, finance, and the SDGs.
The Government of Zanzibar has signed a bilateral agreement with the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany for EURO 660,000 as part of support to the Zanzibar Water Investment Programme.
