14 August 2023, Global Water Partnership Southeast Asia and Safe Water Gardens were invited to learn about Coca Cola Euro Pacific’s sustainability initiative, “This is Forward on Water” for their Water Replenishment Program. The meeting was held to follow up the Innovative Solution for Water Security and Sustainable Development Webinar Series #4, featured Safe Water Gardens.
The African Ministers' Council on Water (AMCOW) Governing Council adopted in February 2019, the decision to transform Africa's water investment prospects through enhanced partnerships and the implementation of the African Water Investment Programme (AIP) to achieve the African Union (AU) Agenda 2063 in collaboration with the African Union Commission (AUC), the NEPAD Agency, the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the African Water Facility (AWF).
The Transboundary Freshwater Security Governance Train heads to the next stop on 15 June 2022. The 11th online interactive session explores the multi-level governance (MLG) in the transboundary water context with a particular focus on disaster management, such as flood management.
On Wednesday 4 October 2023, GWP and IW:Learn hosted an online session on multi-stakeholder regional dialogues, focusing on the critical enabling factors that contribute to their success, and how they positively impact transboundary water cooperation.
The implementation of the activities of phase 2 of the TonFuturTonClimat project is continuing in Burkina Faso, Benin and Togo with funding from the Government of Quebec, GWP, Swiss Cooperation, Agence de l'Eau Picardie. The implementation is done in the countries through the CWPs in Burkina and Benin as well as the NGO YVE in Togo under the regional coordination of the International Secretariat for Water (ISW) and GWP-WA.
Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) face greater challenges in ensuring a water security for all and by all. Although LAC is a water-abundant region, water is not easily and equally available to all citizens and users.
