La historia de 25 años de GWP

GWP celebra 25 años en 2021 y presentamos el sitio web de aniversario gwp25years.org. El lanzamiento tiene lugar en relación con los Días Regionales de GWP (31 de mayo al 3 de junio), una reunión anual del personal de GWP en todo el mundo. El nuevo sitio web es un lugar para capturar la celebración colectiva de lo que la red ha logrado hasta ahora y para mirar hacia el futuro. Es un lugar donde todos están invitados a compartir mensajes y donde pueden ser parte del viaje para hacer que la buena gobernanza del agua sea una realidad para todos.

GWP at World Water Week 2022

World Water Week is a global event that brings the international community together to work towards a more water-wise world. This year, World Water Week was themed ‘Seeing the unseen: The value of water’, and took place 23-25 August (online only) and 28 August – 1 September (online and on-site in Stockholm).

SDG 6.5.1 reporting exercise in West Africa

Open Program at the 2023 UN Water Conference

The 2023 United Nations Water Conference was successfully held from 22-24 March 2023. The event was held at UN Headquarters in New York, co-hosted by the Governments of Tajikistan and the Netherlands, aimed to assess the progress of the Water Action Decade 2018-2028 and reaffirm water-related goals and targets, including those contained in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The mission of the Global Water Partnership to support countries in the adoption and implementation of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) is aligned with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, in particular Agenda 6.5.1 to track the degree of IWRM. Thus, the global office and the regional secretariat of Southeast Asia participated in the main events, and side events (on-site and virtual events).

Malawi strategies on climate smart water solutions in quest to achieve universal access by 2030

From a distance, Kalima Primary School in Chikwawa district in the Southern part of Malawi looks like any other public school in the country; happy children running up and down around the school campus but cautious of the scotching heat. Temperatures in Chikwawa can get as high as 40 degrees Celsius and yet, the only water tap at the school is mostly dry. Children must brave both the heat and unending desire to quench their thirst.
