The Transboundary Freshwater Security Governance Train continues its journey in 2022 on 16 February, with its 10th interactive session in the series. This time, the event explores how the design of Transboundary Water Agreements affects their performance and whether there are key ingredients that should structure these agreements.
June 13-14, 2022, GWP China Hebei organized the Seminar of "Investigation on Implementation Effect of Water Ecological Environment Regulation in Baiyangdian & Daqing River Basin" in Shijiazhuang, capital of Hebei Province. Chaired by GWP China Hebei's Chair, Jianyi LIANG, the workshop invited 17 experts and stakeholders to the meeting.
The 5th Steering Committee meeting of the Regional Program for the integrated Development of the Fouta Djallon Highlands (RPID/FDH) was held in Dakar, Senegal from 22 to 25 June 2021. The workshop was organized by FAO in collaboration with ECOWAS and UN Environment.
It’s been called the African COP, the Adaptation COP, the Implementation COP, the Solutions COP, and the Development COP. Clearly, there is a lot riding on the 27th Conference of the Parties (COP27) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) this 6–18 November. It marks the 30th anniversary of the Convention’s adoption, but also a new and difficult phase in global climate action.
The first Transboundary Freshwater Security Governance event for 2022 kicked off on 16 February and included 150 participants from around the world. They explored how the design of Transboundary Water Agreements may affect their performance, and the ‘key ingredients’ that should be considered when creating such agreements.
Global Water Partnership- Eastern Africa held its 7th Regional Consulting Partners (RCP) meeting on 17th to 18th June 2022, at M-Hotel, Kigali in Rwanda.
