GWP-Med facilitating dialogue with youth on Nexus approach toward achieving SDG Goals and their role at the first African Young Water Professional Forum

The Minister of Justice and Legislation, Keeper of the Seals, proceeded to the signing ceremony and the official handing over of the framework agreement protocols with the Country Water Partnership (CWP) of Benin and 18 other structures on Thursday 19 January 2023.

On the occasion of International Women's Day (8 March), Global Water Partnership has interviewed women in the water community across the Network on their journey to become successful in their professions, how to overcome obstacles they face as women, and also recommendations to other women.

Multi-stakeholder Dialogue on Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems Nexus in the North-Western Sahara Aquifer System concluded

GWP-WA Executive Secretary, Mr. Armand HOUANYE and the UNEP Director, Susan C. Gardner, signed on October 17, 2022 a Project Cooperation Agreement (PCA).

GWP_SEA WAY Programme is planned from 17 October to 2 December 2022. We are calling applications from eligible youth (18-35 years old) from the region to participate to the online training.

In a long-anticipated event, the UN’s High Level Political Forum (HLPF) met in New York in July, to review progress on the Sustainable Development Goals, including, for the first time, the one dedicated to water, SDG 6. A GWP delegation was present, communicating key messages from its global network of 3,000-plus partners.

The scope and detailed outline of the Phase II Nexus Assessment for the Drin river basin, together with related activities, were presented and discussed in the 7th Drin Stakeholders Conference and 18th Drin Core Group Meeting held in Tirana, Albania on 29-30 January 2020. It follows up on the Phase I Nexus Assessment that was completed in 2019 as part of the Transboundary Diagnostic Analysis (TDA) for the Drin river basin.
