The CWP Ivory Coast met on August 12 the new Water Resources Director to exchange on opportunities for enhancing collaboration between the two.
The Director hoped that the CWP can support his directorate in raising awareness and informing the population on some basic documents adopted and not well known. These include water policy documents, decrees of the water code, mobilization strategies on the IWRM PLAN financing, the operationalization of PLANGIRE through projects, waste of water. Complementarity of actions of the two structures was noted by the interlocutors.

Over the years, the people of Seychelles have had an increased access to an improved drinking water source. Statistics show that access to water stood at 88.9% in 1990 and at 97 percent in 2010 respectively. Similarly, indicators of access to improved sanitation show an increase from 78% in 1994 to over 97% in 2012.

Following the information day on the Francophone youth for water project in Korea on April 13, 2015 and the orientation day in Cotonou on May 8, actions are continuing with the World Youth Parliament for Water (WYPW). Benin CWP has coordinated the setting up of the national National Youth Parliament for Water and Sanitation (PNJEA) of Benin with the aim of involving Youth more in the issues around water and sanitation through education, facilitation and sensitization. The Parliament will work for a greater involvement of Beninese youth in the issues of Water Resources Management Integrated; educate the youth on water-related issues and sanitation; facilitate good cooperation between youth and policy makers in the strategic decision making (water sectors, sanitation, energy, food security and biodiversity).
