World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and Global Water Partnership South Asia (GWP SAS) will be jointly organising ‘Climate Services User Forum (CSUF 27 and 28 April 2016) for the Water Sector in South Asia’ in association with WMO’s South Asian Climate Outlook Forum (SASCOF-8) in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

GWP is organising a Pan Asia learning webinar on Tuesday 18 June, at 8:30 AM Stockholm time (11:30 Tashkent / 12:00 Colombo / 13:30 Jakarta). The topic is: "Water-related adaptation planning and project preparation in countries across Asia: Korea Adaptation Week & the NAP Water Supplement".

From 8 to 10 June 2015 was held the workshop for the drafting of the Burkina’s 2014 performance report on water and sanitation for AMCOW.
The opening of the workshop was marked by the keynote by Mr. Amidou SAVADOGO, Director General of Water Resources who stressed the importance of the 2014 performance report that should serve as advocacy document for the post 2015 agenda.

A validation to the draft 4^th Regional Work programme; the Regional Strategic Action Plan (RSAP IV) was made at the 7^th SADC Multi-Stakeholder Water Dialogue held in Windhoek, Namibia from the 29^th to the 30the September, 2015. Subsequently, the Water Resources Technical Committee (WRTC) approved the plan at its meeting after the dialogue.  

Global Water Partnership Southern Africa (GWP-SA) has entered into a partnership with Water Hygiene Convenience (WHC) to support job creation and SDG implementation on the continent.

A workshop on the Integrated Urban Water Management was help in Abidjan from 25 to 28 JAnuary 2016. This workshop was jointly organized by Global Water Partnership and the African Water Facility.

We think that water empowers women, and empowered women transform their societies.” These are the words of GWP Interim Chair Alice Bouman-Dentener on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2016 (#IWD2016).
