Documenting processes at country and regional levels

The GWP-WA Executive Secretariat with the support of Stockholm is working since the beginning of December 2020 to document eleven (11) processes in West Africa including 3 in Benin, 3 in Ghana, 1 in Burkina Faso, 1 in Senegal and 3 at transboundary and cross border level.

Innovative Solution for Sustainable Development Webinar Series

The 1st from the series focused on 'Monitoring ground & infrastructure movements from space' online webinar was held on 27 May 2021. The webinar was organized by GWP-SEA, in collaboration with Viromii and Detektia. Detektia S. L. is a spin-off of the Laboratory of Topography and Geomatics of the Civil Engineering School of the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid (UPM) and has been created with the aim of applying the DInSAR technique to problems of stability and maintenance of dams and road infrastructure. Detektia is a DInSAR based company that aspires to revolutionize the control and maintenance of large engineering works, helping to create safer, more efficient and more durable infrastructures.

New Report: Progress on IWRM in the Asia-Pacific Region 2021

The report on the progress on IWRM in the Asia-Pacific region is based on the national consultations held last year to assess the implementation of SDG 6.5.1. Based on the analysis of country responses to the 2020 Data Drive on that indicator, as well as interviews with focal points and an online Learning Exchange, we are pleased to present the "Progress on Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) in the Asia-Pacific Region 2021: Learning exchange on monitoring and implementation towards SDG 6.5.1" .  The report was launched online to coincide with the Stockholm Water Week 2021, during the Asia Focus session: Accelerating inclusive water governance to advance sustainable development, on 25 August 2021.
