The Young Caribbean Water Entrepreneurs Shark Tank is an initiative of the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) and was first launched in 2019. From Thursday 6 to Friday 8 July 2022, a regional workshop was held in Lomé to train stakeholders from the member countries of the Volta Basin Authority on the MyDewetra-VOLTALARM forecasting system. This regional workshop, organised by the implementing partners of the consortium including VBA, GWP-WA and IUCN was a follow-up to the one held from 04 to 05 July 2022 on the finalisation of the development of a regional programme focusing Nature-based Solutions (NBS) in the Volta Basin.

In preparation for the 9th World Water Forum to be held in Dakar in 2022, the Network of Water and Climate Organizations of Central African Youth (RECOJAC) organized a regional workshop on September 24th, 2021 within the framework of its Dakar 2022 youth mobilization project, Central African Youths Towards Dakar 2022 (CAY-TDAKAR2022), funded by UNESCO and supported by GWPO and GWP-CAf.
GWP-Med, as key partner to the Cairo Water Week since its launch in 2018, co-organised and facilitated a day-event and two sessions, giving a strong message for enhanced focus on facilitating investments in the water sector, the role of gender in water diplomacy and mobilizing Young Professionals in the fight to meet the SDGs.
