Within the framework of the implementation of the project "Clean up Waste and Liquid" financed by NIYEL, in partnership with CWP-Benin, this year activities included the advocacy leading to the adoption of regulatory texts for the application of the law on public hygiene in Republic of Benin.
Integrative and inclusive investment project planning at the transboundary and regional levels is critical in the response to challenges and catalysing development in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region. Engr. Quamrul Islam Siddique was a prominent alumnus of the Department of Civil Engineering who is a freedom fighter, leader and a modern architect of rural infrastructure development in Bangladesh. He played the leading role in establishing of Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) in its present form. He died of on 1 September 2008 at the age of 63.
