33/2022/Zero Drop Global Water Partnership – Mediterranean (GWP – Med), legally and lawfully represented by the non-profit society MEDITERRANEAN INFORMATION OFFICE FOR ENVIRONMENT, CULTURE AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT – MIO ECSDE announces the present call for offers for Supply of Solar Powered Equipment / Panels for the Production of Potable Water from the Atmospheric Moisture and Installation at a Concrete Shed at the Port and on the Roof of the Town Hall of Folegandros Island.

Caribbean WaterNet (Cap-Net UNDP), The Faculty of Food and Agriculture of The University of the West Indies (UWI) St. Augustine and the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C), have worked together to produce two (2) Training Manuals intended to be of great value to the Caribbean region.

GWP Zambia was requested by the government to facilitate the development a national Integrated Water Resources Management/Water Efficiency (IWRM/WE) plan. GWP Zambia managed the multi-stakeholder consultations, led an awareness raising campaign, and initiated a capacity building programme – all of which resulted in buy-in from a range of actors.

World Water Day is commemorated on 22 March - an annual UN observance to focus attention on the global water crisis. This year’s theme is 'Valuing Water', exploring what water means to people, its value and how we can protect this essential life resource. GWP South Asia, the global GWP office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Netherlands are organising a regional webinar on experiences and lessons at country level.

The Climate Adaptation Summit (CAS) 2021 takes place online on 25-26 January. It is a global conference that promises to accelerate, innovate, and scale up the world’s efforts in adapting to the inevitable effects of climate change. During the event, the finalists and winners of the Water ChangeMaker Awards will be featured and announced in two different sessions.
