The Country Water Partnership of Guinea (PNEGUI) took part on September 30, 2021, in the scoping workshop for the development of the national action plan for integrated water resources management (PAGIRE).
The 5th edition of the AfriAlliance Innovation Bridge Event takes place online on 29 October. It will address social innovation and its four dimensions gathering diverse stakeholders across all levels of government and the sectors of climate, water, environment, sustainability and innovation, inter alia.
The UNEP-UNDP National Adaptation Plan Global Support Programme (NAP-GSP) and the Global Water Partnership (GWP) organized a joint webinar on accessing the GCF Readiness Support for National Adaptation Plan (NAP) on Wednesday, 8 December 2021. The webinar was attended by close to 100 participants representing GCF National Designated Authorities (NDAs), United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Focal Points, GCF Direct Access Entities (DAEs) and technical advisors, water, and climate specialists.
A new online course on Gender and Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) opens on 15 October. It is available on the Cap-Net virtual campus and has been developed in partnership with GWP and Gender and Water Alliance (GWA). The course aims to improve practitioners’ understanding of the benefits of integrating gender meaningfully in water resources management.
GWP Partners are invited to the Annual Network Meeting of GWP Partners 2020, which takes place online on 21-22 October, under the theme ‘Bringing the Change’. This is an opportunity when Partners can learn from each other and exchange ideas with GWP. As part of the Network Meeting, the Partners have the opportunity to comment on the GWP in Action 2019 Annual Report and the GWP Annual Financial Report 2019.
The Expert Working Group on Monitoring & Information Exchange (EWG MIE) was used as a platform for transboundary cooperation to discuss action to address the current threat of decreased water levels in Lake Prespa.
