In their support to the Government of Togo GWP WA, UNICEF and UNDP have recruited consultants for a mission to develop a high-quality concept note and conduct a pre-feasibility study for the project: "Strengthening the resilience of vulnerable communities in Togo through IWRM and Climate Sensitive WASH Services".
The project TonFuturTonClimat (Your future Your Climate) has been officially launched at national level in the three target countries (Burkina Faso, Togo and Benin).
At the end of April 2022, GWP-WA Secretariat was approached by the Benin CWP with a request of collaboration from the National Water Institute of Benin to mobilize resource persons in the region to provide appropriate content and to conduct 3 webinars on:
Partnering with the Green Climate Fund, the Adaptation Fund, Multilateral Development Banks and WMO, GWP supports countries
accessing climate finance to implement water-informed National Adaptation Plans and integrated flood and drought management policies and measures.
Panama and Nicaragua are one step closer to formulating IWRM Action Plans. During the month of October, both countries’ Ministries of Environment carried out national IWRM Action Plan consultations to identify and formulate priority measures to respond to the challenges of water resources management, with technical and financial support from GWP Central America.
