In the Drin basin, advancing gender equality in the context of climate crisis and disaster risk reduction is one of the biggest challenges and lack of equal representation persists in both national and local level in almost all Riparians.
The media is invited to the Official Opening Ceremony of the workshop on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. at the West Conference Room, Kirani James Athletic Stadium, Queen’s Park, St. George’s. The opening features remarks from Mr. Titus Antoine, Director of Economic and Technical Cooperation (Ag.), as well as officials from the organising agencies, Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) and the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC).
GWP is strongly positioned at Stockholm World Water Week (WWW) 2019 through its involvement in more than 30 events, as well as a launch of its new strategy and other publications. WWW takes place 25-30 August, with this year's theme being "Water for society - Including all".
Global Water Partnership West Africa (GWP-WA), the regional body of Global Water Partnership (GWP), is seeking applications for the recruitment of its Chairperson.
The Global Water Partnership aims at supporting countries in the sustainable management of their water resources with a view to achieving their development goals. GWP recognizes that the overall development goals of poverty eradication, social and economic well-being and protection of natural resources cannot be achieved if water resources are not managed in a sustainable manner.
On 1 July 2020, an Online Consultation Meeting is being held on the Wastewater Management Decision Support Tool (WEMDST), a Pilot project in the Frame of the GEF Drin Project.
