GWP-CAf invites all its Partners to the Annual Network Meeting of GWP Partners 2020, which will take place online on 21-22 October, under the theme ‘Bringing the Change’.
To celebrate World Water Day 2021 and show what Valuing Water means in practice across the world, we have invited some of our Water ChangeMakers to share their stories about the way they have made smart decisions that reflect the multiple values of water– from the mountains of Peru, to the plains of Tanzania.
The programme Matchmaker 2 aims to provide Jordan and Palestine with tangible and scalable solutions in order to improve water management and build resilience to climate change through the application of the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems Nexus approach.
Global Water Partnership and Wuhan International Water Law Academy are organising an online engagement session on 27 October for those who are currently enrolled – and those interested in enrolling – in the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Transboundary Freshwater Security. The topic of the session is ‘Does the world need more International Water Law?’
A two-day workshop on the Climate-Land-Energy-Water (CLEWs) modelling framework and its use in the Nexus Assessment of the Drina River Basin took place on 8,9 July 2021. The purpose of the workshop was to familiarise participants with the Climate, Land, Energy and Water systems (CLEWs) nexus methodology, used to quantitatively assess the energy-water interlinkages within the Nexus assessment of the Drina River Basin. By providing an overview of general concepts, tools used and hands-on experience on model building, the workshop opened the box of the modelling analysis to the audience and laid the ground for local uptake of the model infrastructure.
World Water Day will be commemorated on March 22nd, as it has been since 1993. The day is dedicated to emphasize the value of freshwater. UN-Water is leading a campaign to make groundwater visible in 2022. Although groundwater may be out of sight, its impact is visible everywhere.

The aim of the Support Package is to explain how the SDG 6 IWRM Support Programme can assist the facilitation of multi-stakeholder processes aiming to update the SDG 6.5.1 survey, providing tools and guidance to that effect.
