Faso The international Community celebrated the World Water Day (WWD) on March 22 on the topic of what water means to people.

To assess progress made in transboundary water cooperation in Cameroon, the Ministry of Water Resources and Energy in collaboration with UNESCO Regional Office for Central Africa and GWP Cameroon organized a two day multi-stakeholder consultation workshop in Mbalmayo, Cameroon from the 3 - 4 September 2020.

GWP's annual Network Meeting 2019 is coming up. Based on the successful participation of so many Partners at last year’s meeting, an online ‘Follow the Sun’ consultation will be held on 25-26 June. GWPSA's consultation will take place on the 25th June 2019 from 12:00-14:00.

Using the key challenges to IWRM implementation identified in Stage 1, Stage 2 aims to facilitate a government-led multi-stakeholder process to formulate and prioritise appropriate responses to those challenges. The result of Stage 2 is typically an IWRM Action Plan (the name might be adapted for each country), which constitutes a series of attractive investment opportunities to systematically guide the implementation of solutions to IWRM challenges.

Following the Adaptation Fund’s approval in June 2021 of the pre-concept note for the “Integrated Water Resources Management and Early Warning System for climate resilience in the Lake Chad Basin” project, the Lake Chad Basin Commission (LCBC), in collaboration with the GWP-Central Africa (GWP-CAf) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) organized a hybrid session of the first regional stakeholder consultation workshop in N’Djamena from February 21st – 22nd 2022.

Maximin Djondo is the Executive Director of Benin Environment and Education Society (BEES). For the past 15 years, he has implemented projects in the West Africa region to support national and international strategies and policies related to the sustainable use of wetland and coastal ecosystems resources. On 26-28 February 2020, the Roorkee Water Conclave will be held on the topic of "Hydrological Aspects of Climate Change". It takes place in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India.
