Luang Prabang, 28 November 2019 -- the Regional Steering Committee Meeting (RSC Meeting) 2019 was successfully held with the main objective to get agreement on the 3 years work program and the 2020 annual work plan.
The Water ChangeMaker Awards are in the final stage of judging. From 350 initial submissions, there are 12 finalists. The winners will be presented during the virtual Climate Adaptation Summit on 25 January 2021. Here we recognise the top five countries where GWP partnerships mobilised the most Award submissions: China, India, Kenya, South Africa, and Uzbekistan.
In response to many requests, we have decided to extend the deadline for the Water ChangeMaker Awards with one week - to 14 June 2020 by midnight CEST - to give those who have not yet finalized their submissions a chance to participate.
An online Technical Workshop on Gender Equality (GE) and Sustainable Development in Nexus sectors in Albania took place on 29 June 2021 with the participation of more than 50 representatives from gender related institutions, gender focal points from gender-related institutions, civil society, youth organizations and women empowerment activists and experts from Albania.
Hobah Pierre ROGOTO, the new Executive Secretary of the Pan African Agency Water and Sanitation (WSA) together with three of his staff were received on 7 May 2018 by the regional secretariat of GWP-WA. The visitors explained that this was a courtesy visit to one of their main partners after the crisis that WSA has undergone for the last years.
With the start of a new year, a new decade, and with a new GWP Strategy, GWP Central America Executive Secretary Fabiola Tábora says that it is important to have all GWP Partners and allies working together.
