The 9th session of the meeting of the Parties to the UN Water Convention was organized from 29 September to 1 October 2021. On this occasion, GWP-Med had the opportunity to present the breath of its work on transboundary water management, the water-energy-food-ecosystems Nexus approach as well as the role of women in promoting transboundary water cooperation, during the MOP9 meeting and in several side events.
Any experience on water management is worth to be shared, says Shamila Nair-Bedouelle, Assistant Director-General for Natural Sciences of UNESCO: “Water managers need to understand the different journeys that have been taken, so that we collectively can promote sustainable water management.”
Mali has started phase 2 of the SDG Support Programme aiming at accelerating the implementation of IWRM to contribute to achieve the SDG 6 in the country.

To strengthen the knowledge capacity of female leaders, members of the community and the media in the Far North Region of Cameroon on dental fluorosis, the Cameroon Country Water Partnership (GWP-Cmr) organized a two-day training from June 24th – 25th in Maroua, Cameroon
On 1 July 2020, an Online Consultation Meeting is being held on the Wastewater Management Decision Support Tool (WEMDST), a Pilot project in the Frame of the GEF Drin Project.
GWP is strongly positioned at Stockholm World Water Week (WWW) 2019 through its involvement in more than 30 events, as well as a launch of its new strategy and other publications. WWW takes place 25-30 August, with this year's theme being "Water for society - Including all".
