The Ministry of Environment and Forest resources, the Designated National Authority of the Green Climate Fund in Togo, organized on 27 November 2020 a workshop with financial support from partners.

Natural resource management is closely linked to conflict management, prevention and resolution. Managing natural resources involves reconciling diverging interests that often lead to conflict, which can undermine management institutions and lead to exploitation, environmental destruction and deteriorating livelihoods. If conflicts turn violent, they can rip apart the entire fabric of society. Thus, managing conflicts in a peaceful manner is decisive not only for successful and sustainable resource management but for societal stability in general.

The handbook and toolkit can be used to support any participatory process aimed at sustainable resource and conflict management.

Water and climate change is the theme for celebrating World Water Day 2020 at a time when access to sufficient and safe water for all to meet sustainable development goals by 2030 remains a major challenge in an increasingly critical global climate context. The African Network of Basin Organizations (ANBO) is planning its 7th General Assembly (GA) from July 2-5, 2019 to be organized in Tunis (Tunisia). The General Assembly is an important occasion for exchange on ANBO's institutional life and provides a unique opportunity for members to evaluate progress made with regard to the objectives set for the network and identify possibilities for improvement.

GWP launched its new Strategy, "Mobilising for a Water Secure World", at a panel discussion on “Re-orienting the water education to address the water related challenges” held on 25 September, during the 6th India Water Week - 2019.
