Dental fluorosis affects many people in the water-stressed Far North Region of Cameroon. The disease is mainly caused by excess fluoride in groundwater; a principal source of drinking water in the water stressed region. Affected people are stigmatized with women and girls, bearing the greater burden of the social stigma.
Since 2018, GWP-Cameroon has been working to change the misconceptions about this disease and pilot the research to reduce fluoride in the groundwater using a household filter adapted with charred cow bones.
This documentary tells the story of stigmatization through the eyes of affected victims and resonates a message of hope to the community, through GWP's work to improve groundwater quality.

A second Public Consultation on the Sevan Basin Management Plan was held in Armenia from June 11 to 17 July, 2020. The consultation was organised on the programme of measures for Sevan and Hrazdan river basins districts. Hosted by the Ministry of Energy and Hydraulics for the Republic of Congo (MEH) and facilitated by Country Water Partnership Congo and the UNESCO International Hydrological Programme (IHP Congo), the validation workshop for the national report on SDG 6.5.2 for the country took place in Brazzaville, Congo on the 22nd of June, 2020. The workshop had as objective to discuss on the state of Congo's water resources and cooperation in the field of transboundary waters and validate the draft report on SDG indicator 6.5.2, which assesses cooperation on transboundary rivers, lake basins and transboundary aquifers.
The 11th Petersberg Climate Dialogue (PCD) is held as a video conference on 27 and 28 April. The United Kingdom, as President of the next Climate Change Conference (COP 26), co-chairs the PCD. The event focuses on sustainable recovery after the current health crisis.
