We work very closely as knowledge brokers with policy and decision-makers to walk the journey with them of implementing climate action, says CDKN Director Dr Shehnaaz Moosa: “When the Water ChangeMaker Awards came up, it seemed like an automatic fit for CDKN to be a knowledge partner”.
20 Mediterranean journalists, members of the Circle of Mediterranean Journalists for Environment and Sustainable Development (COMJESD - founded in 2002 by MIO-ECSDE and GWP-Med) , and 45 NGO representatives participated in a series of events with emphasis on Mediterranean Coastal Wetlands in Rabat, Morocco, on 16-18 December 2019.
29 hours of the GWP Network Meeting 2019 attracted an audience of 10,000 and 2500 views of the Facebook site, as well as nearly 400 readers of the thematic report on GWP WeChat. Big L♥ve to all for arriving the great success of this event.
One of the main stepping stones toward the United Nations 2023 Water Conference – the first UN conference dedicated to water in over 45 years – is the 2nd High-Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development”, to be held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, 6-9 June 2022.
The Lake Ohrid Watershed Management Plan was presented and discussed with representatives from all related authorities of North Macedonia marking another step towards its official adoption.
A Learning exchange on gender mainstreaming in water resources management (WRM) was organised on September 16th, 2021, to present the findings of the study on that topic. The event was also used as a platform to better understand and discuss how to advance on the key enablers and overcome common bottlenecks for gender mainstreaming in WRM, for those working on SDG 6.5 and SDG 5; and to understand the need for support from national governments and other stakeholders to advance in this key area for sustainable development.

The Continental Africa Water Investment Programme - Gender Transformative Water, Climate and Development (AIP WACDEP-G) Programme has brought to the fore the need for African governments to address issues of gender inequality if they are to effectively achieve water security and climate resilience.
To contribute to the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic currently raging in Togo and around the world, the project brought some support to the Danyi Prefectoral Hospital Center to enable them to minimize the risks of spreading the disease.
