The Danube Drought Conference, held on 7-8 May in Vienna, Austria focused on the challenges and joint cooperation in the area of drought management in the Danube region.
GWP’s global and regional staff met in Amman, Jordan, on 13-16 May for the network’s annual Regional Days. One of the big agenda items was GWP’s new Strategy 2020-2025, which is due to be launched in July. Other topics were GWP’s 3-year work programmes and finding a common understanding around GWP’s work in convening multi-stakeholder dialogues.
GWP's annual Network Meeting 2019 took place 25-26 June. Based on the successful participation of so many Partners at last year’s meeting, an online ‘Follow the Sun’ consultation was also held this year. All GWP Partners were invited.

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) organises the Sustainability Exchange in Dakar, Senegal on 18-19 June, to explore how to drive innovation through inclusion.
Some associations have started making their own compost after the assistance they were given two weeks ago with some inputs including a box of "mycotri" and bags of chicken droppings. They have started their production activities including heat and humidity control, substrate decomposition degree and maintenance activities such as pile turning, and watering were carried out.
