Any experience on water management is worth to be shared, says Shamila Nair-Bedouelle, Assistant Director-General for Natural Sciences of UNESCO: “Water managers need to understand the different journeys that have been taken, so that we collectively can promote sustainable water management.”

The 9th session of the meeting of the Parties to the UN Water Convention was organized from 29 September to 1 October 2021. GWP Partners are invited to the Annual Network Meeting of GWP Partners 2020, which takes place online on 21-22 October, under the theme ‘Bringing the Change’. This is an opportunity when Partners can learn from each other and exchange ideas with GWP. As part of the Network Meeting, the Partners have the opportunity to comment on the GWP in Action 2019 Annual Report and the GWP Annual Financial Report 2019.
On March 11, 2021, the West African Science Service Centre on Climate Change and Adapted Land Use (WASCAL) and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) organized a virtual workshop to launch the activities of the study on the impacts of climate change and the cost of adaptation on the agricultural, water and coastal sectors in West Africa.
This year, the World Water Week organised by Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) is held as a full-scale digital event on 23-27 August. The theme for 2021 is "Building Resilience Faster". GWP is involved in several sessions throughout the week. The confirmed sessions are listed below.
