CWP-Benin organized on 16 June 2020 a working session on the inventory of the preliminary drafts of regulatory texts relating to the consultation and management of water resources in Benin.
On Monday 8 April 2019, at the Korea Global Adaptation Week, GWP launched the publication "Addressing Water in National Adaptation Plans – Water Supplement to the UNFCCC NAP Technical Guidelines". On 11 September 2019, GWP, together with the World Bank and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), launched a new working paper: “Framework for the Assessment of Benefits of Action/Cost of Inaction (BACI) for Drought Preparedness.” The launch took place on the Drought Preparedness Day at the 14th UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD COP14), held in New Delhi, India.
There were two youth associations competing to be the implementing partner of the project on the ground. Competing for this project were the "Koom La Viim" association (which means "Water is life") of Nomgana / rural municipality of Loumbila and the "Nongtaaba/Jeune La Touma" association (which means "youth is work") of Koankin in the rural municipality of Saponé.
