Our digital library is an online database of digital objects that can include text, still images, audio, video, digital documents, or other digital media formats. The collection will consists of in-house library (GWP global, region, and country water partnerships), as well as a copy of free-access media from the internet for the region of Southeast Asia. Dental fluorosis affects many people in the water-stressed Far North Region of Cameroon. The disease is mainly caused by excess fluoride in groundwater; a principal source of drinking water in the water stressed region. Affected people are stigmatized with women and girls, bearing the greater burden of the social stigma.
Since 2018, GWP-Cameroon has been working to change the misconceptions about this disease and pilot the research to reduce fluoride in the groundwater using a household filter adapted with charred cow bones.
This documentary tells the story of stigmatization through the eyes of affected victims and resonates a message of hope to the community, through GWP's work to improve groundwater quality.
The scope and detailed outline of the Phase II Nexus Assessment for the Drin river basin, together with related activities, were presented and discussed in the 7th Drin Stakeholders Conference and 18th Drin Core Group Meeting held in Tirana, Albania on 29-30 January 2020. It follows up on the Phase I Nexus Assessment that was completed in 2019 as part of the Transboundary Diagnostic Analysis (TDA) for the Drin river basin.

The Global Water Partnership Southern Africa (GWPSA) will be launching its Strategy for 2020 – 2025 themed “Mobilizing Investments for A Water Secure Southern Africa”, to its partners in Pretoria, South Africa. The Strategy, to be launched at a meeting to mobilize investments for a water secure southern African region, will guide how GWPSA will focus its work between 2020 and 2025 in line with the GWPO Global Strategy.
Stockholm World Water Week (WWW) is an annual focal point for the globe’s water issues. It is organised by the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI). This year, the event takes place on 26-31 August. As in previous years, GWP will be involved in many of the sessions.
