Danube4ALL project (Restauration of the Danube River basin Waters for ecosystems and people from mountains to coast) is an EU ‘Lighthouse Initiative’ in support of Mission “Restore our ocean and waters by 2030". This 5-year, Horizon Europe funded project consists of a consortium of 48 Partners and Associated Partners from 14 European countries.

Water managers often claim that more funding needs to be invested in water security. While that is undoubtedly true, it is also true that water managers could do better in terms of spending the budgets that are already allocated to them.
The platform would facilitate youth interaction beyond their country of origin, extended to South Asia level and beyond. Botswana and Tanzania have recorded remarkable progress in the implementation of climate-smart pilot projects addressing Water, Energy, and Food securities through the Global Climate Change Alliance Plus (GCCA+) Project being implemented in the two countries.
"Young people are a very important force for both sustainable development and rational management of water resources. In the West African sub-region, this force is very under-used. GWP is therefore working with organisations at regional and sub-regional levels as well as youth movements to make their voices heard so that they are more involved and sustained in the decision-making processes of the water sector, in the implementation of the Paris Climate Agreement, of the SDG #6 in the West African region. Young people are the successors of tomorrow, and nothing can or should be done without them”.
A new initiative exclusively funded by the Coca-Cola Foundation and implemented by GWP-Med is expected to save an estimated 5 million waters annually for the Municipality of Aglantzia in Cyprus through the use of recycled water and smart technology for green spaces irrigation.
Recognising the urgent need to address transboundary water management challenges, GWP has joined forces with more than 40 governments, international organisations, international financing institutions, NGOs, academia and research centres under the Transboundary Water Cooperation Coalition.
