On Friday 24 April, Albania, Greece, Kosovo*, Montenegro and North Macedonia will be endorsing the Strategic Action Programme for the sustainable management of the Drin river basin, with over 100 agreed actions to tackle common challenges and promote sustainable development in the region.
80 participants – comprised of Green Climate Fund (GCF) National Designated Authorities (NDAs), GCF Direct Access Entities (DAEs), and decision makers in Water Ministries and agencies – from 18 countries across Central Asia & the Caucasus, South Asia, South East Asia and China attended a Technical Workshop on Project Preparation for Transformational Climate Resilient Water Project Concepts for the Green Climate Fund at the Asian Development Bank in Manila on 15-16 October.
Yangon, 5 December 2018 -- The dialogue on sharing knowledge from various research works on harvest moisture from thin air to collect water was held at Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department on 5th December 2018 in Yangon, Myanmar. On May 28, the Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) Focal Point of the Nicaraguan Ministry of the Environment (MARENA) and the IWRM Commission, with the support of GWP, held a national consultation for the SDG 6.5.1 baseline - the degree of implementation of IWRM. This is part of GWP's global efforts to assist national stocktaking and reporting on IWRM.
