On 28 October 2017, Prof. WANG Hao, Standing Vice Chair of GWP China and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering showed on “VOICE” which is prevalent for talking with young audiences and sharing with them diversely natural knowledge. "Nature is the true treasure", he said on the TV show.

On 6 June 2017, Kenya Water Partnership held an extraordinary General Assembly Meeting at Grace House Resort Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya. The meeting objective was to address governance issues, elect new office bearers and meet requirements for accreditation

Lao Water Partnership with support from GWP Southeast Asia held a seminar on 15 June 2015 to support the Government of Lao PDR’s policy in relation to preparation and finalization of national socio-economic development plan 2016-2020, Strategy 2025 and Vision 2030, which related to national sustainable development and green economy.

Mr. Thoumma Saleumxay, Deputy Director General of Department of Water Resource, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, chaired the meeting and expressed on the important of Integrated Water Resources Management, sustainable development management in Lao PDR in in his opening remarks.

A workshop was held in Niamey on May 29, 2015 to validate the study on 'Analysis of the results of national consultations and elaboration of the preliminary proposal of the agreement on the establishment of the framework and coordinating mechanism for political dialogue in the Mekrou basin planning process ''.
This workshop brought together about 40 people who validated the document by highlighting the context of Niger.

 

The water awards is the last initiative of the Country Water Partnership (CWP) of Burkina Faso. The aim of the Water and Sanitation Awards is to enable the identification of relevant actions in the water and sanitation sector, in order to acknowledge and honor the efforts of individuals and legal entities which are either at the base or contributed to the achievement of these actions. The ambition is to give visibility and promote water and sanitation as central to sustainable development in the country.

Staff from GWP’s 13 regions met for Regional Days in Stockholm, Sweden, on 9-12 May. The annual event is an opportunity to take stock of current and on-going matters in the network, and to plan for the year ahead. Coinciding with this, GWP’s Network Meeting was held, and broadcast live on Facebook.
