Global Water Partnership West Africa (GWP-WA) in collaboration with the Country Water Partnership (CWP) of Burkina Faso and the Volta Basin Authority (VBA) organized a regional workshop for journalists from Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Mali, Niger and Togo from 20 to 22 November 2018.
On 18 June, GWP organised a webinar as a follow-up to the “Project Preparation Workshop for Transformational Climate Resilient Water Project Concept for Asia” – held in October last year. The objective was to create a Communities of Practice around the topic.
The “1st Nexus Roundtable in the MENA and wider Mediterranean” will be held on 26-28 November 2018, in Beirut, Lebanon, at the Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace, under the auspices of the Lebanese Ministry of Energy and Water and in partnership with the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) and the United Nations Environment Programme / Mediterranean Action Plan (UNEP MAP).

GWP-WA through the Country Water Partnership of Benin (PNE Benin), organized together with the General Directorate of the National Fund for Environment and Climate (FNEC) of the Ministry of the Living Environment and Sustainable Development (MCVDD) the Benin Stakeholders' Workshop on the formulation of the Country Water Climate Development and Gender Equality (AIP WACDEP G 2020-2022) on October 28 and 29, 2020. The main objective of the workshop was to develop the Benin draft document for the AIP WACDEP- G Program 2020-2022.

The Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA) is an international conference on central issues of vital importance for global agricultural and food policies. It is held annually in Berlin, however the 2021 edition will be held online on 18-22 January. The theme is "How to Feed the World in Times of Pandemics and Climate Change". GWP's Julienne Roux will be one of the expert speakers on Monday 18 January.
With the start of the activities of the Project "Integrating Flood and Drought Management and Early Warning for Climate Change Adaptation in the Volta Basin", a project implementation team is assessing the capacities and needs of national structures for flood and drought forecasting and warning.
