The Country Water Partnership (CWP) of Niger in partnership with the Ministry of Environment, urban sanitation and sustainable development through the directorate of wildlife, hunting and protected areas is building a water reservoir for the wildlife of the W Park. The stock of 200 hundred thousand hectares has 30 water reservoirs of which only four are permanent i.e. they don’t totally dry up during the long dry hot season.

La gestión de los recursos hídricos alrededor del mundo es fundamental para el desarrollo. Para alimentar al mundo, así como contribuir a la reducción de la pobreza, la salud humana y la prosperidad económica- preste atención al agua.
DriDanube (Drought Risk in the Danube Region) project is a 30-month project which started on 1 January 2017 within INTERREG’s Danube Transnational Programme.
On January 24, 2017, Prof Hao Wang, Standing Vice Chair of GWP China and Prof Yunzhong Jiang, GWP China Secretary General, together with other experts from Henan Water Resources Institutions, Zhengzhou University etc., engaged into water investment plan of business industry. Prof Jiang was invited as Senior Professional Advisor to the Henan Water Conservancy Investment Group Co. Ltd.
The cornerstone of GWP China is to be a knowledge sharing network. It was pioneered by GWP China Regional, Provincial and River Basin Partnerships and also fully supported by GWPO and the GWP Technical Committee, a group of internationally recognized professionals and scientists who are at the forefront of proposing actions that promote sustainable water resources management.
